A premier distinctive of the Rock Academy is the relationship between teacher and student. Our small class sizes enable teachers to pray for students, provide more personalized attention and support to each child and to truly see them. Rock Academy is a place where uniqueness is celebrated and in order to successfully train up Warrior leaders, we depend on the critical partnership of parents. We train and educate on behalf of parents, not in place of them.

“The Rock Academy has been an incredible school for my children! They are committed to teaching servant leadership, kindness, respect, responsibility, critical thinking, and helping kids grow in the purpose the Lord has for them. They treat each child as a special and unique individual. They are committed to partnering with you as a parent to create a safe learning environment for all the children. I personally love how all the teachers, not just my child's grade teacher, along with Mrs. Goodman and Mrs. Boyett (our principal and vice-principal) know every child and parent my name. It is a positive environment that challenges kids to think and grow in their learning. The Rock has been an awesome answer to prayer for us! My kids are thriving!”
“The more we got to know the team at The Rock, the more impressed we became by their genuine attention and affection for their students. They are not only intentional and involved educators, but thoughtful partners. The staff provides a holistic education, focusing on the mind, body, soul and spirit of our children. Three years later, our children are thriving young leaders who can think critically, communicate confidently, and tackle tough social emotional situations.”
“We absolutely LOVE The Rock Academy. We felt a part of the family from the moment we stepped on campus. Everyone from families who attend, teachers, staff, faculty and students are welcoming. The teachers go above and beyond to work with students and help them become leaders. The school partners with parents (IE: asks for input, etc.) and communication is thorough. There are so many extra activities the school invests in to make learning fun and include the family throughout the year. As summer is winding down, my son is asking when school is starting with HAPPY anticipation to be back on campus.”
“The Rock Academy has been one of the best things to happen to our family. We made the decision to leave public school two years ago due to lack of transparency and having very little voice in our four kids' education. Since coming to the Rock Academy our kids have been thriving academically, socially and in their faith. We love the small class sizes and extracurricular activities like elementary sports and performing arts. The teachers/administrators treat our kids like family and have gone above and beyond to help them overcome challenges and thrive. The Rock Academy truly feels like one big family, and we feel so blessed to be a part of it.”
“The Rock Academy is an academically rigorous school with emphasis on character development. The Christian curriculum compliments our family faith. Its small size enhances the learning experience as all the teachers know the students well and are invested in helping them make progress.”
The Rock Academy prides itself on being truly reflective of the community we serve:
- Ethnically Diverse: Our student population roughly matches that of San Diego.
- Social-Economically Diverse: Our tuition plans are tailored to each family’s budget, and roughly 1/3 of our families receive needs-based tuition assistance.
- Academically Diverse: We set the bar high! While rigorous and college preparatory, our program also offers individualized academic support plans for students who are challenged with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
The Rock Academy student body is growing! We have experienced a 10% growth each of the past 3 years and believe that we will continue to expand. Currently 400+ students attend grades K -12, another 100+ children attend the Early Educational Center.
The average class size at the academy is 17.
Our student-teacher ratio is currently 14:1. Because of this, our teachers have the opportunity to truly know and understand each child, allowing them to build lasting relationships and help develop each child’s gifts and abilities fully.
We believe that co-curricular enrichment is a necessary part of a well-rounded education. Elementary students have the opportunity to participate in school-wide drama production, and grades 4 -6 can play on one of our athletic teams that compete against other schools. In the middle school and high school there are a plethora of artistic opportunities and athletic teams. Learn more on our Student Life page.

Yes. Although giving your child the gift of a Christian education can be costly, we believe it is a lasting investment worth making.
