Tammi Waitley

Performing Arts

Mrs. Waitley fell in love with the arts when she saw her first live musical at the age of 7. She knew immediately that she wanted to be up there performing too! She was a part of children’s theatre in San Diego from the time she was eight years old until eighteen. She has worked in radio in San Diego as a D.J. and voice over artist. Mrs. Waitley has loved sharing her passion for the performing arts with students by directing musicals and show choirs, and teaching drama, musical theatre, music theory, commercial voice over classes, and vocal lessons through churches, as well as public and private schools, with students of all ages . She also worked as an area coordinator, teacher, show choir director and musical director for Christian Youth Theatre for nine years. Mrs. Waitley’s desire for her students is to try something new, use their creativity, and become comfortable performing onstage in front of an audience. She hopes to see students shine as they go out into the community and use the arts to share about Jesus outside of the classroom room walls! Finally, and most importantly, Mrs. Waitley hopes to foster joy in our students by worshipping God through music, drama, and movement here at the Rock Academy!
