Kuuleinani Yamamoto is happy to be with your student at the Rock Academy.  She has substituted K-12 at the Rock Academy for almost two years.  Mrs. Yamamoto completed a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Leadership in Learning at Point Loma Nazarene University. In May of 2018 she graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education with a focus in Social Studies. During her time at UH Manoa, she was part of the Hawaii chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and studied abroad in South Korea for a semester. She has a deep passion for learning, exploration, and pursuing the heart of God.

Hawaii is the place Mrs. Yamamoto calls home, specifically the town of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Her parents still live in their family home in Hilo and her younger sister lives in Honolulu, Oahu where she is studying to be a doctor. While Hawaii is her hometown, she spent most of her childhood in Japan at Yokota Air Force Base as her father served 25 years in the military. Her upbringing as a military child has given Mrs. Yamamoto a love of travel, the ability to connect quickly with others, and a flexibility to adapt. She hopes that this skill set is one that will inspire and support you and your family.
