Carly Kocur

Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Kocur is thrilled to be joining our Kindergarten Teacher team this year. She and Mrs. Nease are eagerly planning our most dynamic Kindergarten year yet! Mrs. Kocur recently moved back to her hometown of San Diego after living abroad in Sydney, Australia. She grew up in a loving home where she was taught from a young age the love of Jesus and has committed to living her life for Christ and furthering his kingdom. Mrs. Kocur loves to fill her days spending time with family and friends, surfing, running, and squeezing in as many outdoor activities as she can! She graduated from Westmont college in Santa Barbara where she played on the Westmont Women’s Soccer team. She completed her schooling earning her BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Hispanic Studies and her Multiple Subject California Teaching Credential. Mrs. Kocur loves children and felt specifically called by God to teach after volunteering at an elementary school with her soccer team in college. She comes from a long line of teachers stemming from her great grandmother on down to her mom and sister. She strongly believes that the Lord has given her a specific heart for kids and is passionate about encouraging children to courageously live out their faith, recognize their potential, and be a light for Christ. She feels grateful to teach at a school where she can outwardly proclaim her love for Jesus as well as her love for learning. Mrs. Kocur’s goal is that every one of her students feels supported, known, loved and encouraged. She longs to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each of her students to flourish spiritually, emotionally, and academically!

not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
