Amanda Perales

Performing Arts | Cheer Coach

I was born and raised in El Paso,Tx. I grew up participating in Community theatre. I cheered and danced in middle school, highschool, university, and semi pro level. During my last year in college I owned a dance studio where I taught ages 3 to adults. I taught Jazz, hip hop, modern, ballet, musical theatre, cheer and dance team prep. After graduating college I began teaching Dance and Drill Team in the public school system. I have taught middle school and highschool dance I-IV. I have been in education for 10+ years.

Here at The Rock Academy I am blessed that I will be able to use my skills and past experiences to impact and grow students. I will be the performing art teacher grades K-6, Head Varsity Cheer Coach, and Spirit Coordinator.
Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Loving each and every one of my students for who they are is very important to me. Showing them and emulating the love and grace God has shown me on a daily basis. Establishing an environment that is safe, caring, and engaging is crucial in order for students to be able to do and be their best.

I am married to my husband, Ramiro. We have 2 beautiful daughters (ages 4 and 14). We relocated to San Diego this summer from Dallas, Tx. I am looking forward to being part of the Warrior Family.
