Gearing up for the new school year!

by Autumn Cropp - August 3, 2005

The 2005-2006 school year is almost here! If you need a copy of your child’s school supply list for their class, you can go to the Homework Hotline section of our website. You can also find your child’s Summer Reading List for their grade on the Homework Hotline.

Please be sure to join us for the Mandatory Student Orientation for all students, new and returning, on Thursday, September 1, 2005 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM.

Immediately following the orientation please join us for a picnic at the park ¼ of a mile from the Academy (on Kelly Street). We will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring a side dish to share.

All family members are welcome! The picnic will last from 12:00PM to 2:00PM.

First Day of School

School starts on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at 7:50AM.

One week prior to the start of school we encourage families to start getting their children into their school year bedtime routine. Start having your children go to bed early and then wake them up at the time they will get up during the school year. This will make the transition back to school easier for both you and your child.

Mandatory Parent Orientation

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend our Mandatory Parent Orientation on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 6:30PM. At least one parent from each family is required to attend. We suggest that you do not bring your children to the orientation, but should you have to, please note that there will not be supervised child care provided.

We are looking forward to another wonderful year at the Rock Academy!
