We are so proud of our Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball and Varsity Girls Soccer teams! Our Girls Basketball team won League and made it to the San Diego Section CIF Semi-Finals. Our Boys Basketball Team also won league and is currently competing for the San Diego Section CIF Championship! Our Girls Soccer team won league and made it to the San Diego Section CIF Quarter-Finals. Congratulations to all of our teams for such successful seasons! TUTION ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS
If you would like to apply for tuition assistance for the 2012-2013 school year, you must apply by Thursday, March 15, 2012. Please do not apply until AFTER you have completed your 2011 tax return.

Due to the current demand for highly trained professionals in science fields, the Rock Academy will be hosting a special event for high school students on Friday, March 16th.
This event is designed for students to explore careers in science, discuss relevant issues of our time, and reinforce scientific skills through experimentation, in a fun, “hands on” atmosphere.

JR/SR High Shadow Day
On Friday, March 23, we are hosting a Shadow Day. This is an opportunity for prospective 7th—12th grade students who are interested in checking out the Academy to spend a day with us.

Elementary Parent Conferences
The dates for the Parent Conferences are Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23 from 12:00PM-5:00PM. Your child’s teacher will be sending a Parent Conference sign-up form home soon. Please complete it and return it with your child as soon as possible. Your child’s teacher will confirm your appointment time with you on a first come, first serve basis.

Current 6th Grade Immunization Updates
To help protect your children and others from whooping cough, a new California law now requires students to be vaccinated against whooping cough.
For the 2012-13 school year, all students entering 7th grade will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (Tdap) before starting school.
Proof of immunization must be brought into the school office before the start of the 2012-2013 school year or your child will not be permitted to attend school.

Jungle Book Spring Musical
The Rock Academy Jr./Sr. High Performing Arts Department is excited to present Jungle Book. Performance dates are Thursday, April 26 at both 1:00pm and 6:30pm and Friday, April 27 at 6:30pm in the Rock Sanctuary. Admission is free! Informational Tours
The Rock Academy will be hosting an informational tour on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 4:00pm in Room 254. If you know of any families that are interested in finding out more information about the Rock Academy, please invite them to attend. RSVPs are not required.

Please encourage your child to check the Lost & Found in the Nurse's Station across from the Rock Academy office on the 2nd floor weekly for any items that have been misplaced. The bin is currently overflowing! The Lost & Found is laid out in the hallway every Wednesday. Any unclaimed school uniforms will be placed in the Uniform Exchange; everything else will be thrown away or donated to the Salvation Army.

SHINE (a women’s morning bible study) will meet in room 232, from 9:30 -11:30 am. We will be studying "The Beautiful Disciplined Woman". No book to buy, just bring your bible and a pen. Childcare is available.

Lunch Duty Volunteers Needed!
The Rock Academy is in need of volunteer help during lunch! Not only are we in need of volunteers to help distribute lunches with Ki's School Lunches but we also need help supervising lunch/playground duty. If you are interested in helping please contact the school office!
