Sheila Ellis

Sheila’s duties as preschool director are to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Rock Academy Preschool and to ensure the provision of a safe and loving environment for the young children in their care. Providing a place where children can learn about God’s love for them and others is vital to their young lives.

Sheila was born in Philadelphia, PA and at the age of 18 she accepted God's plan of salvation for her life by receiving Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a church in Linda Vista. The transition from the east coast to the west coast was a great experience, and she has called San Diego her home since 1976.

From there God began to mold her life into one in which she would care for young children. When she looks into the eyes of young children, she sees future generations.

She knows that her call is to raise up young children to love the Lord. It brings such joy and happiness to her to be surrounded by children. She is blessed to have been able to touch so many lives, and to play a part in the future of so many families throughout her career as an Early Childhood Educator.

Besides her two adult children, Sheila calls a multitude of children throughout San Diego her own, because she believes in the next generation of God-fearing adults being nurtured, trained, and equipped here at the Rock Academy Preschool.
