Shawntres Womack

Shawntres was born and raised primarily in Southern California. As one of three children in a military family she moved around quite a bit in her earlier years, and did not have a solid Christian foundation or a church home. When her father left the Army and her family settled, they became active in the church and at the age of twelve Shawntres accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Shawntres has always felt a strong desire to teach and work with children. She and her husband, who is in the military, have been living in San Diego for almost five years. They have a three year old daughter named Jordyn who attends the Rock Academy Preschool. Shawntres was hired as a preschool teacher at the Rock Academy in August of 2009. Shawntres is currently attending school at San Diego City College and has nearly obtained her desired Associate’s Degree in Child Development. She plans to transfer to a university next semester to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development.

Shawntres began her teaching career at a Montessori school here in San Diego. She is at home here as a member of the Rock Church, and hopes that she can make a positive impact by providing a loving Christian example for the children in her care.
