Rob Thompson

Rob Thompson was born in Vandalia, Illinois on October 19, 1966. He grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and lived there for twenty years. He was a happy child who enjoyed many friends growing up. Rob was an average student that excelled in athletics and extra-curricular activities. In high school, he participated in football, track, and wrestling. Upon graduation, he attended Doane College in Crete, Nebraska where he played two years of college football. Rob transferred to the University of Nebraska in 1987 and graduated with a BA degree in English in 1990. He recently completed his Masters Degree at the University of Phoenix.

Rob moved to California in 1992 and has been teaching and coaching for ten years. He has taught at the high school level for nine of those years.

Rob grew up attending church, but was more of a convenient Christian until a troubling period of his life in the late 1990’s led him to develop a relationship with the Lord. Two years ago, the Lord made it apparent to Rob that He wanted to increase his territory, and He wanted him to make a change from public education to Christian education that focused on Christian principles and concerns.

The Lord has blessed Rob in so many ways and he is excited to have an opportunity to work with The Rock family. Rob is looking forward to serving the Lord and to mentoring the next generation that attend The Rock Academy, both in the classroom and on the football field. Rob resides with his wife Erin and has four children: Mckenzie, 16, Morgan, 14, Madison, 10 and Logan, 1 year. Go Warriors!
