Marisa was born on the beautiful island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. She grew up in a very religious home where God was always put first. She arrived in San Diego mid-August, 1985. Marisa did not fully understand the meaning of being a Christian until she attend 6th grade camp through church. Since then, she has been following the Lord faithfully.
With the guidance of God and many years of volunteer work in her church’s children’s ministry, Marisa developed the love of teaching. She student taught Kindergarten at Birney Elementary and 2nd /3rd combo at Marvin Elementary.
Marisa is married to a wonderful, strong Christian man named Clayton. Clayton keeps her grounded in the Lord. He is always encouraging her to look outside of the box.
Mrs. Wilson desires her students to be independent thinkers. She wants her students to learn how to obey and love God with all their hearts.
Marisa has been teaching for 9 years at The Rock Academy.
