Jazmin Nelson

Jazmin (Ms. Jaz) was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and was raised in beautiful San Diego, California. She is the eldest of four sisters. Jazmin has been a part of the Rock family since she rededicated her life to Jesus in 2003. She first served with the Rock Children's Ministry, and now she is serving in the Youth Ministry. Jazmin also worked as a Pre-K teacher with the Rock Academy from 2003 - 2005, before leaving to complete her college studies. Jazmin then obtained a bachelors degree in psychology with an emphasis in child psychology. She currently plans to pursue a Masters in Psychology. She has also taken courses with the Rock University for personal and spiritual growth.

Jazmin has always had a passion and love for children and feels it is her spiritual gift to help train and teach God's precious little army. Jazmin has also coached pop-warner cheerleading in the past and is a former cheerleader herself. Jazmin has envisioned a cheer team for the Rock ever since she became a member of the church and started teaching at the Academy. After much prayer and petition, she is excited to be a part of our new Rock Academy Cheerleading Squad. “I have confidence that the Rock cheer squad is going to be victorious, we will definitely represent our spirit and pride with victory in Jesus! I’m looking forward to an amazing year!” Jazmin feels truly blessed to contribute to the lives of young children and youth here at the Rock Academy and Church. It is her desire to have a positive spiritual relationship of encouragement with them. Says Jazmin, "I am humbled to be a part of such an immense army of people who are growing and cheering in the Lord."
