Heidi Diehl

Mrs. Heidi was born and raised in the Bay Area, just south of San Francisco. She grew up in a Christian home and accepted the Lord at a young age along with her older sister. Mrs. Heidi spent many of her high school and early college years working for the YMCA at a K - 5th After School Enrichment Program. This experience had a strong impact on her love and desire to work with children. After finishing her AA in Liberal Arts at De Anza Community College, she felt the Lord calling her down to San Diego to finish her education at UCSD.

During college, Heidi was very involved with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at UCSD where she met many of her closest friends along with her newlywed husband, Scott, who works as a junior webmaster in the communications ministry here at the Rock Church. She finished her degree in Human Development, with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. After graduation Heidi and Scott decided to get married and they are now living happily in Bay Park, San Diego.

Heidi began working at the Rock Academy Preschool as a substitute teacher and soon fell in love with the children and staff. She loves teaching and watching the kids grows academically as well as spiritually.

Heidi's four favorite foods are Sushi, Tiramisu, Curry of almost any kind, and Spaetzle (a scrumptious German noodle and family staple). She also loves spending time with her husband and good friends, cooking, working on any form of art, and doing crafts of many kinds.
