Danae Miller

Danae was blessed to be raised in Santa Cruz, CA, in a loving, Christian home. She is the middle child with two amazing brothers. Her family is very important to her and she considers them four of her best friends. She is fortunate to have been brought up in the church, finding the Lord at a young age, although it was not until a Jr. High missions trip to Mexico that she really felt God’s presence and truly began her personal relationship with Him. Through youth groups, small groups, and Christian summer camps she began growing more with God and finding the importance of a daily relationship with Him.

Danae chose to attend Point Loma Nazarene University and pursue a degree in mathematics. After considering a career in architecture, she took a few graphic design courses to aid in an internship opportunity in Hong Kong. After taking these classes, however, she decided that although she enjoyed math, she found a greater enjoyment in Graphic Design. During her last semester, she met her best friend and husband, Cole, in one of those classes. She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Mathematics. She continually looks back at her time at PLNU as an imperative time of spiritual and personal growth. It turned her faith and relationship with God into something much more real and mature.

After college, she pursued a career in Interior Architecture for a year until she heard God’s voice in a very direct way telling her that this was not what He had intended for her life. While taking time to search for what His plan was, she spoke with a friend in her Bible study, Autumn, and found out about a possible opportunity at the Rock Academy. From that point on, the path was very clear. God worked amazing miracles in providing the opportunity for her at the school and she feels so blessed to be able to be a part of such an amazing ministry.
