Cheri Silberberg

Cheri Silberberg grew up in Murrieta, California with very loving parents and an older brother. Her parents always told her about Jesus Christ, and they went to church every now and then. However, she did not have a solid relationship with Jesus until the end of her high school years. In fact, it was at the end of her senior year when she realized something was missing from her life. A friend had told Cheri several times about a youth group that she attended and about how it changed her life. Then one night Cheri felt led to go to the youth group; she went by herself and made the decision to re-dedicate her life to the Lord. Since that time, her life has been drastically different. Jesus became so real to her, and He began to show her daily how He wanted her to live her life. Cheri then began attending Calvary Chapel Menifee. It was there that her relationship with the Lord continued to grow, and she chose to continue her education at Point Loma Nazarene University.

While attending Point Loma Nazarene University, Cheri studied child development. She became a Covenant group leader and went on a Love Works trip to both Poland and Germany. During her time at Point Loma Cheri also made amazing life- long friends who challenged her to grow closer to the Lord. She even married her best friend, Andrew. After completing her undergraduate degree, she continued her education and earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Cheri taught first grade last year at Mira Mesa Christian School and really enjoyed her experience there. Then the Lord called her to the Rock Academy. She couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the Rock, and she is looking forward to a great year!
