Application Process

The Steps

1. Pray that the Lord reveals His plan for your child. Jeremiah 29:11
2. Attend an informational tour of the Rock Academy (optional).  Upcoming Tour Dates
3. Please read Our Purpose before proceeding.
4. Complete the required documents. Please use the following bulleted items to ensure all documents are sent to our office in a timely manner. (Application cannot be considered until all of the following items are received in our office.)
   • Online Application
   • Teacher Recommendations  (Please print and give to your child's teachers. Teachers may fax it directly back to us at: 619.764.5201)
   • Request for Student Records * (Please print and turn in with the following items:)
   • Copy of student's birth certificate
   • Original immunization card (We must see actual card.)
   • Copy of report cards from last two years
   • Copy of most recent standardized test scores
   • An official transcript (current 9th - 12th grades only)
   • Copy of IEP, if applicable
   • $25 non-refundable application fee
   
   * Please print out starred item, sign it and turn it in with other personal information and application  fee.
5. We will schedule a placement test upon receipt of your completed application for students in kindergarten through 9th grade. Please know that a placement test appointment cannot be granted until our office has received all of the above-listed items.  Students in 10th through 12th grade will be placed in classes based on their transcripts; a placement test will not be required.
6. We will schedule an interview with the student, parent, and administration upon the receipt of your completed application, and the conclusion of your child’s placement test (or receipt of official transcript for 9th – 12th grades).
7. We will contact you with your child's acceptance or denial. A $300 non-refundable reservation fee, along with additional contracts, is due upon acceptance to reserve your child's seat.
