The Rock Academy International Program is unique in that we care about each individual international student. We want them to succeed at our school and transition successfully into a four year American University.
Each student is required to take an English Language support class until the coordinator deems appropriate. Throughout the year, the coordinator provides opportunities for students to partake in activities outside of school, in a fun or educational manner. Activities include, but are not limited to: bowling, ice skating, visiting Old Town and an international food festival, where students can invite an American friend.
The Rock Academy has established a mentor program for new international students. He/she will be mentored by a Rock Academy American student, in collaboration with the ASB international liaison. They will be able to approach this student for questions about their schedule, classes and any help they need. There will also be opportunities for social times, such as going out to lunch, and the hope of a lifelong friendship.
